Community Walks Programme
has now ended after 9 walks and a boat trip! We would like to thank
all of those who attended our walks and we sincerely hope that Feet First
will return to the area in the near future.
Feet FirsSchools Programme
Four
primary schools - Banton, Hillhead, Kilsyth and Twechar have now
completed their programme of five walks in which they will learn about the rich
history and wildlife along the Forth & Clyde corridor.
On 25 March, Kilsyth and Banton children climbed Bar Hill to the
Roman fort and were surprised to meet a Roman Legionary!
Both
adults and children in the groups were fascinated by the soldier's
tale of his life in Scotland.

still interested in hearing from anyone who may be interested in becoming a
guest speaker for one of our Feet First walks in the future, no matter what
part of the country you are in.
Anyone willing to share their knowledge and
enjoyment for the outdoors on our walks would be most welcome.
If
you know a bit about wildlife, local history, the canal or boats, we'd love
you to share that with our walkers.
We
acknowledge that local people have so much to offer our programme. You
don't have to be a trained walk leader or teacher or expert. All you
need is a willingness to share your passion to a friendly group of
interested walkers.
