Feet First 2010

Some 150 pupils from Sciennes, Oxgangs and Juniper Green Primary Schools have taken part in the 2010 programme. Once again the John Muir Award has provided a focus for the walks and children undertaking a new bee home making activity inspired by the BBC's Breathing Places - 'Bee Part of It' campaign, in this, the International Year of Biodiversity. Other new activities introduced this year included 'Tree.S.I.' - Tree Scene Investigations, where investigators (children) were assigned a 'case file' and had the task of investigating the a woodland, identifying leaves and trees and collecting 'evidence'. Community walks for some Edinburgh over-50's carers are planned for the summer. See for more information.
